J.T.’s defensive game balls in 27-21 win over Pitt

The Cincinnati Bearcats traveled to Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to face the Pittsburgh Panthers. The offense did enough to get the respect of the Pitt defense and the defense did more than enough to get the respect of the Pitt offense. Bryan Brown did a hell of a job calling a game to get constant pressure on Phil Jurkovec. The defense had 8.0 tackles for loss, five sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. They held Pitt to 5-of-14 on third down and 2-of-3 on fourth down. This unit had a great first half and Pitt adjusted early in the fourth quarter, but the group made the plays when needed.

Check out who received TFON game balls!

Justin Harris, cornerback

Harris started for the injured Sammy Anderson. Pitt targeted Harris often, while he had a few pass interference penalties, one was bogus. He finished with three tackles and four pass breakups on the day.
