4 star SF Tyler Betsey commits to Cincinnati

This afternoon Wes Miller and staff got great news as priority four-star target Tyler Betsey has announced his commitment to the University of Cincinnati. Betsey, was on campus for his official visit on September 23nd for the Bearcats Big XII opener vs Oklahoma. Betsey, now joins four-star PF Tyler McKinley in the class of 2024 as Wes Miller and staff continue to bring in high level talent entering his third season at the realm of Cincinnati.

Betsey currently attends St. Thomas More in Windsor, Connecticut where he is coached by former Cincinnati standout Cane Broome, who is in his first season as head coach at the perianal powerhouse in Connecticut. Betsey is currently ranked the 40thnd player in the class of 2024, 7th ranked power forward in the class of 2024, while being ranked the number one player in the state of Connecticut.

Betsey, a 6’8”, 185-pound power forward saw his recruitment skyrocket as he picked up nearly 30 offers, including offers from Duke, Indiana, UConn, Alabama, Creighton, Villanova, Auburn, Kansas, LSU, Memphis, Michigan State, and many more.

Betsey provides great size standing 6’8”, but the thing a lot of people have been impressed with about his game has been his shooting. A three-level scorer with the potential to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim as well. Betsey also has shown great potential on the defensive end as well which makes him such an intriguing prospect.

Betsey choose the University of Cincinnati over Alabama and Kentucky among the three schools in his final three. Betsey now joins Tyler McKinley in the Bearcats 2024 recruiting class as Wes Miller has now landed two top 100 prospects in consecutive years.
