Bearcats’ Simas Lukosius involved in car accident on campus

Tonight, at his weekly radio show Wes Miller announced that junior guard Simas Lukosius was involved in a car accident while walking across campus. Miller said the Butler transfer was struck by a car while cross the street near campus. The car involved in the incident had its windshield shattered.

Miller also noted that Lukosius is currently with head athletic trainer Bob Mangine being treated for the injuries.

Bearcat Journal’s Keegan Nickoson was first to report the news earlier this evening.

This is some significant news as Lukosius has been a huge impact for the Bearcats so far through the team’s first six games, and we saw that on Tuesday night vs Howards as Lukosius knocked down the Bearcats only 3 made three pointers of the game.

Lukosius is currently averaging 8.4 points and 3.5 rebounds on the season as the junior averages nearly 23 minutes per game in his first season as a Bearcat.

Thoughts and Prayers for Simas Lukosius after this scary scene that took place this evening.
