Update: NCAA states TRO players could lose a year of eligibility

Yesterday, a temporary restraining order was issued by the courts to the second time transfer players in college basketball. The TRO is for 14 days which a hearing would be on December 27th to hopefully finalize anything, but today the NCAA counted stating any of the players who get to play because of the TRO could possibly lose a year of eligibility if they play in that time frame. That would directly effect the Cincinnati Bearcats center Jamille Reynolds who has two years of eligibility left.

Yesterday everything seemed great, but with today’s new information it puts those players in a catch 22, because the NCAA doesn’t have a great history of doing right by the student athlete’s. The University of Cincinnati hasn’t issued a statement with the new information received, but I’m sure they are vetting out everything they can to give Reynolds the best advice possible.

With the new findings does Cincinnati play Reynolds? Or do they wait this process out? I don’t currently have the answers, but I feel bad for Reynolds and the other players in this situation in limbo. Have a heart NCAA, have a heart!
