WBB: Bearcats forward Jillian Hayes named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention

Per GoBearcats:

University of Cincinnati women’s basketball senior Jillian Hayes has been named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, the conference announced on Tuesday.
 
The Cincinnati native becomes the first Bearcat to procure a yearly Big 12 basketball honor.
 
Hayes leads the Big 12 in free throws made (139) and ranks third in offensive rebounding (3.3), fourth in rebounding (8.4), 11th in free throw percentage (.728), 13th in blocks (0.8) and 18th in scoring (12.9).
 
The 6-foot-1 forward recorded nine double-doubles this season with five coming in league play. She tallied 10+ points in 16 of 18 Big 12 contests and poured in 20+ points in three contests overall. She also ranks in the top-15 nationally in free throws made (139) and free throws attempted (191).
 
In Cincinnati’s record books, Hayes ranks third in blocks (124), fifth in rebounds (818) and free throws made (383), eighth in steals (177) and 14th in scoring (1,259).
 
Cincinnati earned the No. 11 seed in the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship and will open play in the first round on Thursday at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. The Bearcats will face 14th-seeded UCF at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, following the opening game of the Championship with Texas Tech facing Houston at 6:30 p.m. ET.
