Looking at the cornerbacks on the 2024 Bearcats roster

#23, Willie Goodwyn, 5’11”, 180 lbs., Fr., Montgomery, Ala.
Goodwyn is a freak of an athlete. He’s listed as a defensive back, but he was a big play machine as a wide receiver in high school. He was a two-way player, totaling 260 receiving yards to start his senior season in which he totaled 14 touchdowns to complement his five interceptions and forced fumble. That was after a 2022 where he averaged 22.5 yards per catch and seven touchdowns. It wasn’t just football where Goodwyn exceled. Goodwyn averaged a double double on the basketball court as a junior, and as if that’s not enough he was a state finalist in the high jump and the 100-meter dash in Track & Field.

#26, Logan Wilson, 5’10”, 178 lbs., R-Sr., Dallas, Tx., North Texas Transfer
Wilson closed out the Spring Game with a pick six, and Bearcats fans could quickly learn how good of a safety he is. Wilson started for two seasons at North Texas where he totaled 112 tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defended over 28 games, earning All-Conference-USA Honorable Mention in 2022.

#27, Ken Willis, 5’11”, 188 lbs., R-So., Cincinnati, Oh., Colerain High School
Willis saw action in 2023, starting two games at the “star” position and playing in all 12 games. He recorded 23 tackles and two interceptions, with nine tackles coming against Oklahoma.
