Barry Larkin “Appreciation Day”

On Sunday afternoon one of the all time great shortstops got his just do as he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. As a child Larkin was my favorite Reds player, so as an avid fan it is nice to see one your favorite players get inducted.

Larkin had a great 19 year career all with the Reds. Larkin was a 12x All-Star, 9x silver slugger, 3x gold glover, 1x world series winner and 1x MVP.

Larkin tallied up the career stats of: 2180 games played, 1329 runs scored, 2340 hits, 198 home runs, 960 RBI’s, 379 stolen bases and .295 batting average.

There wasn’t anything Larkin couldn’t do on the diamond. When you thought of the Reds you thought of the Larkin so it’s only right he ends up in Cooperstown.

We at The Front Office are showing Larkin the love he deserves, feel free to do the same and if you didn’t see his Hall of Fame speech check out the link below.
