2012 Week 13: College Football games of the Week

Last week shows how crazy college football is just when you think the book has written itself the script changes. #1 and #2 both get upset on the same night, just when you thought an SEC wouldn’t even play in the National Title game two teams cave in. Right now it seems that Notre Dame and Bama are on a collision course to play for all of the marbles but the season isn’t over yet who knows what this week holds.

This week is rivalry week so we didn’t pick any upset games just most of the rivalry games that we will be interested in. Check out the games you should keep an eye on this weekend.

#19 Michigan @ Ohio St, ABC, Noon– This is the biggest rivalry in my opinion even if I’m bias at worse its top 3 but that’s besides the point. This year the Bucks are banned from any bowl so this game is their bowl. Michigan won last year and will looked better with Devin Gardner under center. Braxton has looked better than last year so that should mean trouble to the Wolverines defense.

#5 Oregon @ #15 Oregon St, Pac 12 Network, 3 pm– Oregon is coming fresh off of being upset by Stanford. They need to right the ship against their instate rival. Oregon St. will have a shot to totally ruin the Ducks season while enhancing their own BCS Bowl hopes.

#4 Florida @ #10 Florida St, ABC, 3:30 pm– The big battle in “The Sunshine State”. Both teams have BCS hopes on the line. Both even have slim title game hopes left. Florida St. has a chance to shut the people up who knocked their lackluster out of conference schedule with a win on Saturday. If Florida can win they can make the polls and computers go crazy. Who do you got?

#21 Oklahoma St @ #13 Oklahoma, ESPN, 3:30 pm– This is the Bedlam rivalry, every year these two interstate rivals go balls to the wall to try to beat the other team. Both have good offenses so I expect a fun shootout with whoever that has the ball last winning.

#8 Stanford @ #17 UCLA, FOX, 6:30 pm– These two teams will likely play in the Pac 12 Championship if Stanford wins. If Stanford loses they will need a Oregon loss to still make the Championship game. UCLA win or lose will have  a shot to go BCS Bowling if they can win the Pac 12 Championship game next week. UCLA has an explosive offense, while Stanford has a physical defense with a good running game. UCLA is at home so that should hold some weight but I wouldn’t bet against the Cardinal.

#12 South Carolina @ #11 Clemson, ESPN, 7 pm– “The battle of the Palmetto State” I don’t know if that’s the official name but this is an interstate rivalry. Clemson has a high-powered offense led by Tahj Boyd. The Gamecocks are led by their good defense. Which team will prevail?

#1 Notre Dame @ USC, ABC, 8 pm– No Matt Barkley for the Trojans might be a rough day for them. That defense is very bad and having their signal caller out won’t help. If the Irish win they are in the National Title game.

These are the games you guys should check out let us know which ones you will be watching. Until next week, PEACE!!
