The quiet beast

gore2The San Francisco 49ers are about to play in Super Bowl XLVII this Sunday and one of the main reasons is Frank Gore. Gore aka “Inconvenient Truth” has been the 49ers workhorse for years has finally made it to the big dance.

This is the first time the 9ers have been back to the Bowl since 1994, I remember that game well but let’s not get off topic it’s been damn near 20 years. It’s been a long way back to the top of the mountain and one main staple in the return is Gore.

Gore has been on some pretty crappy teams to put it lightly, at times it seemed like he was the only person on the offensive side of the ball. Gore does everything well on the field, pass block, catch out the backfield, show great vision, get tough yards and can pop a long run. He’s been a perennial pro bowler and consistent 1000 yard rusher. Not bad for a kid who tore both knees up in college and has had countless injuries in the pros. Never once have you heard Gore complain or cry about a situation. This guy has been a top 5 back for pretty much his entire career, yet it seems like he flies under the radar.

Sunday the “Inconvenient Truth” will set his sights on the Ravens and a shot at winning the Super Bowl. With a win Gore will solidify himself among the greats if you like it or not.
