JaMarcus is on the comeback trail

Kansas City Chiefs v Oakland RaidersWord on the street is JaMarcus “Dough Boy” Russell is planning to make a comeback to the NFL. Russell was the 1st pick of the 07 draft by the Oakland Raiders. As my man Joe said of Bull City that was a mistake but let me bring you back to the topic at hand he wants to lace the cleats up again.

The last time we saw the strong armed underachieving QB was the 2009 season. He had a few tryouts but they didn’t go so well. Russell is known for his crazy strong arm and bad work habits which is a Hell of a mix. Russell is 6’6″ and played at around 265 lbs but right now they say he’s over 300 plus. He will have to get to around 260 before teams will take him serious but if he can do so it could be a high reward low risk situation. Any team interested would get a QB with a bazooka of an arm for the league minimum.

Hopefully Russell still has some of that cash that Oakland hooked him up with he definitely got cashed out. If so he’s really coming back for the love of the game. If he gets another shot hopefully he will do all of things a QB is supposed to do on and off the field.
