Tupac Back

heat_spurs_finals_nbaThis years NBA Finals are set to begin Thursday June, 5th in San Antonio. We have the Miami Heat looking to join some of the greatest teams in NBA history with a potential three-peat and the San Antonio Spurs looking to become the most dominant team in the post Jordan era. A player in Tim Duncan who is already the best at his position all time and a player in LeBron James who will most likely solidify himself at his position.

Both players are known for letting their game talk and being team players. In the days leading up to game one however I’ve heard some subtle shots fired from both clubs. Following the Spurs game six win in Oklahoma, Tim Duncan said. “he had four more games to win and the Spurs would get in done.” Not really sure what he’s supposed to say in that situation, but challenge excepted. A few days later LeBron said, “the Spurs don’t like them and they can sense it, that the Spurs wanted them and now they got them.” The Spurs quickly denied any dislike, but agreed they have a bad taste in their mouths knowing how close they were to the title and they are motivated. Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade also dismissed any notion that last years win was lucky and that both teams got beneficial calls and “bounces” their way.

So obviously we don’t have a “Gary Payton” or “Floyd Mayweather” in this series talking trash, but this year it seems more personal between these two teams. Can’t wait!
