Clayton Kershaw started off this season with a back injury, and he is tryin his best to make up for lost time. Kershaw is 7-2 with an era hovering around 2.52. Kershaw is trying to make a case for an All-Star bid, and he further improved his chances with a no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies.

Kershaw striked out 15 batters, which ties him for third all-time behind Nolan Ryan for the most strikeouts in a no-hitter game. This was the first no-hitter in Kershaw’s career, and I am sure it won’t be his last.

The Dodgers are making a push in the NL West. They are currently 7-3 in their last ten games, and are four games behind the SF Giants who are 2-8 in their last ten games. Kershaw may have given his team some added fire with his historical performance to continue their quest for a division title.
