The college football playoffs kicks off today, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes square off against the Alabama Crimson Tide. This match up between two historical programs is a highly anticipated game where two teams are vying for a spot in the national championship game. There are a lot of story lines within the game as far as Urban Meyer vs Nick Saban and the Big Ten vs SEC. The Buckeyes are trying to fight the Big Ten hex against the SEC, and the Crimson Tide is trying to cement their dominant run over the past few seasons.
Many experts think that this game is a guaranteed win for Bama. With Ohio State playing with third string quarterback Cardale Jones and the Buckeyes playing inferior competition in the Big Ten people are counting out the Buckeyes. There is nothing better than being the underdog, and the Buckeyes will relinquish that role as they look to prove that they are the best team in the country. The national championship is a week away, and a trip to Dallas starts with the Buckeyes beating the Crimson Tide today.
