NBA All-Star Starters Released

The NBA announced the starters for the upcoming 2015 All-Star game.

East
1. LeBron James (Cavs)
2. Carmelo Anthony (Knicks)
3. Kyle Lowry (Raptors)
4. John Wall (Wizards)
5. Pau Gasol (Bulls)

West
1. Steph Curry (Warriors)
2. Kobe Bryant (Lakers)
3. Anthony Davis (Pelicans)
4. Marc Gasol (Grizzlies)
5. Blake Griffin (Clippers)

There are a few things that surprised me about the selections. Steph Curry has been balling this season, so it doesn’t surprise me that he is a starter. However, it does surprise me that he led in votes received. He had a total of 1,513,324 votes. The next person after him was LeBron James and he beat him out by almost 42,000 votes. Makes me think that Steph Curry might have a chance at winning the league MVP this year. Kobe is one of the greatest ballers of all-time, but with all the injuries and low percentage scoring this year I didn’t think he would be voted in as a starter. I thought James Harden would have been voted into that spot instead, but overall I am happy with the starters on both sides.

What are your thoughts? Who would you have picked?
