Local Hero Lauren Hill dies

First off I want to say you can be a hero multiple ways,  some have super powers like Superman, or protect people like firefighters, but Lauren was a hero because of the way she shined light on a currently incurable form of brain cancer.

Being 19 years of age and knowing around the time you will die has to be tough and for her to live her life in the public eye and be a poster child for brain cancer is nothing but special.

Hill played basketball for Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. Her shining moment came when they moved a game to Xavier’s Cintas Center to accommodate all of the people who wanted to see her play and she scored the first basket of the game via left hand lay up.

Hill touched many of people as you could see on any social media site today. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Lauren Hill.

Born October 1, 1995, Hill passed April 10, 2015.
