In 2002, Kobe Bryant made a guest appearance at the world famous Rucker Park. The Rucker, was a hotbed for NBA players in the 1960’s and 1970’s so it wasn’t abnormal to see a superstar show up to play. A young Kobe toyed with players and earned a then new nickname after his brief appearance playing at Rucker Park. I remember this as if it was yesterday, and its great to see that NBA players continue to play at parks or local leagues to give the fans a show in the summer. Check out Kobe Bryant a.k.a.
