After Weather Delay, Bearcats handle Bulldogs 52-10

Hour and forty-five minute thunder and lighting delay, slowed down Nippert’s reopening.. The first drive showed off the arm talent of Gunner Kiel as he went 5 for 5 for 44 yards and touchdown to Johnny Holton.

Fumble and blocked punt has kept the Bulldogs alive in the first quarter. Ballard to McKenzie for a 12 yard touchdown to tie the game at 7. After the McKenzie touchdown, the game turned into an onslaught against the Bulldogs as the Bearcats rattled off 28 unanswered points before halftime. The first half was about pairs as Mike Boone, Gunner Kiel and Johnny Holton all scored two touchdowns. Of course the Kiel and Holton touchdowns were quarterback to receiver.

The Bearcats started slow, but once they got rolling it wasn’t much the Bulldogs could do, but that the beating. It turned into all Bearcats all the time. Take away from this game is that backup quarterback Hayden Moore got a lot work, which is good if the Bearcats need him in the future, but at the end of the day this was a water is blue game.

Great start to the #NewNip for the Bearcats.

Notes: The Bearcats had 636 total yards. Tion Green ran for 127 yards. Gunner Kiel threw for 233 yards in not even a full two quarters of action.
