Cincinnati win sixth in a row at Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s expense 105-49

The Cincinnati Bearcats were fresh off winning the Emerald Coast Classic on Saturday and they welcomed in Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions on a super cold Tuesday evening.

The first half was all Bearcats the whole twenty minutes. Three players had double digits led by Jarron Cumberland, Tre Scott and Keith Williams with 10 points apiece. The team as a whole shot 63.2% from the field and 60% from three. They held the Golden Lions to 30% from the field and 10% from three. The Golden Lions had 19 turnovers which is the main reason they were down 59-22. If you can’t handle the pressure you end up in a bad place against this team.

Only change in the second half is Cane Broome and Trevor Moore started in place of Cumberland and Justin Jenifer. Cumberland got to rest, but the Bearcats still dominated the same. A lot of players got quality minutes tonight which is good for players confidence. The two players it was great play well were Trevor Moore and Mamoudou Diarra. Moore knocked down a three and finished with five points, four assists and zero turnovers. Diarra showed his outside-inside game finishing with nine points, three rebounds and two blocks. He caught a nasty off the backboard alley oop from Logan Johnson and knocked down a three in his only attempt. Walk-on Sam Martin balled out with five points and one assists on 2-of-2 shooting from the field and 1-of-1 from the line. Martin had a nice and one play.

Six Bearcats finished in double digits led by Jenifer with 13 points. Scott had 11 points, Williams had 12 points, Cumberland had 10 points, Broome had 11 points, Rashawn Fredericks had 10 points.

They caused 31 turnovers and shot 64.1% from the field for the game. They won 105-49.

The Bearcats are now 6-1 overall and don’t play until Saturday when they will travel to Las Vegas to face UNLV.
