Hunter goes from Georgia State to Tulane, another gain for the AAC

After Georgia State was eliminated by Houston by the end of the weekend it was rumored that Ron Hunter would be the new head coach of the Tulane Green Wave. Mike Dunleavy was fired after going 24-69 in his three years with the program.

Hunter coming to the American Athletic Conference is a nice acquisition as a whole. He let Georgia State to the NCAA tournament three times during his tenure and won at least 20 games five seasons with the school.

Tulane is one of the punching bags of the conference (trust me I’ve seen them live a few times), but with Hunter in the fold I want to see where they are at in three to four years.

I’m all for the success of the Dayton, Ohio native except when he plays UC. If he can get Tulane to the NCAA Tournament they may give him a statue in front of the stadium.
