Former Los Angeles Lakers great and current team president Magic Johnson stated he wouldn’t be returning to the Lakers effective immediately. They say he didn’t tell Jeanie Buss before having a random press conference to make the announcement.
Johnson has made some interesting moves during his tenure, but he was able to sign LeBron James to a four year deal. Year one didn’t go as expected, so that could have a lot to do this him stepping down. Who knows, but I think it is more to the story than is being released currently.
