Class of ‘21 CB Jason Ward enjoyed Nippert Stadium

Chaminade Julienne High School (Dayton, OH) cornerback Jason Ward, 5’9 176lbs., was in town last weekend for the Bearcats/RedHawks game and was nice enough to speak to The Front Office News about that and his future.

When asked how he liked being on campus Saturday and how it felt, Ward noted that he had been to Clifton once before for a football camp his Freshman year, but as for this past Saturday “From what I got to see I liked the football atmosphere inside the stadium.  There were a lot of people tailgating when I first got there and having a having a good time.”

Ward went on to tell me as far as UC recruiting goes so far he has just been dealing with the recruiting department, but seeing as he’s a 2021 prospect, who is also receiving interest from Purdue, Michigan, Bowling Green, and Miami (OH) something tells me that he is not going to be waiting much longer before individual coaches begin to pursue him.  Ward said he didn’t have any official visits lined up anywhere as of yet, but that he would love to visit UC again.

As for what Ward said he would like to improve on as he looks to get better and as he moves closer to 2021, he said “I want to continue to perfect my craft and get better as a total player. Whether it’s the weight room, the field, or the film room, I just want to continue to get better everyday in everything I do as a football player.”

It isn’t hard to see that Ward has certainly got the right attitude when it comes to developing himself as a player and a person, Luke Fickell and company have been one of the schools to jump on Ward’s recruitment early and will hope to cash in come 2021 as Ward appears to be headed on the path to a great collegiate career.
