CFB Playoff Poll proves to be a fraud, latest ranking has Cincinnati at No. 9

This year has been a different year due to covid, the lack of non-conference games, some conferences not starting on time, games getting postponed or cancelled and a lot more. With so many different factors this season, I personally thought if a “G5” school was going to have a chance it was this season.

Fast forward to the first College Football Playoff Ranking, Cincinnati was ranked No. 7 and that seemed very fair, it made them the highest ranked G5 school ever and gave this program a legit shot to seek into the playoff. Cincinnati stayed at No. 7 the next week with only Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Florida ahead of them. Week 15 is when the College Football Playoff Committee showed their hand, moving Cincinnati to No. 8 because they didn’t play against Temple due to covid related issues. The committee put an 8-2 Iowa State ahead of them. I’m going to go into detail on why this is pure fraud.

– Iowa State lost to the No. 19 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 31-14 at home (that isn’t a typo)

– lost to No. 22 Oklahoma State 24-21, Ok. St. is currently 6-3

– every Big 12 team has two or more losses

After these facts, it is pure bull**** that Iowa State is ranked ahead of Cincinnati, Stevie Wonder could see that. After putting them No. 7, without playing last week, they are now ranked No. 6, yes an iffy Iowa State team that is sitting at 8-2 is the 6th ranked team in the nation. Honestly it is all a set up to give the Big 12 a chance to possibly be the fourth player in the Playoff. A two loss Oklahoma is ranked No. 10 and will play Iowa State on Saturday, that is all you need to know about this situation.

Florida has been locked in at No. 6 the first three weeks, which was fair, but knowing how the SEC works they would eliminate themselves if the Committee really lived by the eye test. Fast forward to Saturday, Florida loses to LSU at home for their second loss of the season and only dropped to No. 7. LSU came into the game with three wins and five losses, Florida has already lost to Texas A&M, yet they are rewarded because of their conference and the committee wanting to keeping a G5 team out.
