BREAKING: Cincinnati will host ESPN College GameDay this Saturday

Per GoBearcats:

Bearcat fans will want to set their alarms early this Saturday because ESPN’s College GameDay is coming to the University of Cincinnati for the first time in the show’s history.

College GameDay will broadcast live from UC’s campus ahead of the No. 2-ranked Cincinnati football team’s matchup with Tulsa (3:30 p.m., ESPN2).

The show will air for three hours from 9 a.m. to Noon.

More details and the site location for College GameDay at Cincinnati will be announced in the coming days at GoBearcats.com and on the official University of Cincinnati social media channels.

The Bearcats are one of the top teams in college football in 2021, sporting an 8-0 record for just the fifth time ever and a No. 2 ranking in the polls. Cincinnati is the only team in the country that ranks in the Top 10 nationally in both scoring offense (39.9 – 9th) and scoring defense (14.3 – 2nd)

Senior quarterback Desmond Ridder has proven to be one of the top players in the nation in 2021. He has the most career wins (39) of any quarterback in FBS football. He has 75 career touchdown passes and is three away from tying the Cincinnati career record (78).

Led by cornerbacks Ahmad Gardner and Coby Bryant, UC has the nation’s top pass defense, allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete only 50.6% of their pass attempts, while snagging 14 interceptions. Gardner and Bryant were both named to the Thorpe Award 12-player semifinalist list last week.

Running back Jerome Ford is third nationally with 15 total touchdowns, while tight end Josh Whyle has four touchdown receptions in the last two games.
