Is the Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce a favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year?

ESPN’s Louis Riddick has made the claim that second round pick wide receiver Alec Pierce will be the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Pierce is a 6-foot-3, 211 pound receiver that ran a 4.41 40 yard dash (4.33 unofficial) and has a 40.5 inch vertical jump it is easy if you have watched any of his college film to understand why this isn’t a crazy statement. He has Michael Pittman, Jr. on the other side of him, Matt Ryan throwing him the ball in a dome stadium for at least half of the season and one of the best running backs in the NFL Jonathan Taylor as the work horse so you know play action is going to jump more often than not.

Pierce never got 1,000 yards in college, but with his talent and team around him I wouldn’t be shocked if he reached that milestone in 2022. Will Riddick be right? I know if he is that would be great for the Colts and #BearcatNation as well.
