Tyler Scott gets selected 133rd overall in the NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears

This afternoon, former Bearcats wide receiver Tyler Scott was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the 133 overall pick in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in Kansas City. Scott, becomes the second Bearcat to be taken off the board after a stellar junior season where he recorded career highs in receptions (54), yards (899), touchdowns (9), as he averaged nearly 16.6 yards per catch during his junior season.

Scott has been turning heads ahead of the draft after a dominant performance at his pro day in March where he flashed his speed after running a 4.32 unofficial in the forty-yard dash in front of all 32 NFL teams. Scott, recorded 14 touchdowns in his Bearcat career, none of them were under 20 yards. Scott, has proven he is a legit deep ball threat over his career; however, he is also a quick, shifty receiver that can create for himself and will be a lot of trouble for opposing teams if he gets in space.

Tyler Scott now joins former teammates Tre Tucker and Alec Pierce in the NFL, as all three starting wide receivers from the 2021 college football playoff team are now in the NFL. Alec Pierce was selected with the 53rd overall pick in 2022, while Tre Tucker heard his name called late last night after being selected with the 100th pick in the 3rd round to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Congratulations to Tyler and his family as he takes the next step of his playing career to Chicago.
