Bearcats DT Dontay Corleone will forgo NFL Draft and return to school

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Cincinnati Bearcats defensive tackle Dontay Corleone will forgo the NFL Draft and return to Cincinnati. Corleone will be heading into his redshirt junior season. In 2023, he had 39 tackles, three sacks and forced fumble. In Cincinnati he’s known as “The Godfather” jumped on the scene after a monster redshirt freshman year where he graded as the best defensive lineman in college football per PFF. 2023 didn’t go as planned for Corleone and the Bearcats as they finished 3-9 under first year head coach Scott Satterfield.

Per Thamel’s article, Corleone got an NFL grade of 2nd-3rd round that could range to the 5th round. So, all in all, Corleone is betting on himself to get his stock up while also obtaining his degree.

Huge news for the Bearcats program!
