2012 Week 2: College Football Games of the Week

We are back for week 2 of the college football season and if we learned one thing last week it was that Alabama is for real. USC looked legit last week also and the Auburn, Clemson game was good. Check out what games we picked for this week.

Thursday 9/6

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati, 8 PM, ESPN This is my Bearcats first game and it happens to be a Big East opponent. The Bearcats have a lot of new faces on board mainly in the backfield with Pead and Collaros gone, Legaux and Winn man those stations. Munchie Legaux got a lot of game time last year when Collaros was hurt so this year he has the keys to car. Pittsburgh is coming off of a shocking defeat by Youngstown State (Ohio against the world) last week so on Thursday night football they look to right the ship. If the Panthers want to make any noise in the Big East they must make a statement against the Bearcats. Slight Bearcat bias, let me cook.

Saturday 9/8

Miami (FL) @ #21 Kansas St., Noon, FX– K State has a dope QB in Collen Klein, he will be looking to make mince meat of the U’s secondary. The U won last week and will be looking to take Klein out of the Heisman race early. This game may be better than people are expecting. Check it out!

Washington @ #3 LSU, 7 PM, ESPN– The Huskies have a hidden gem at QB named Keith Price he is a dual threat QB that may make life hard on the Tigers. I don’t think the Huskies will win but it may be closer than expected. The Tigers looked good last week in look to keep rolling through the Huskies. Kenny Hilliard looked good toting the rock for the Tigers last week the front seven of the Huskies better beware.

Vanderbilt @ Northwestern, 8 PM, Big Ten Network– I’m going to say this now Vanderbilt got robbed last week versus South Carolina, that was a pass interference. I feel better now but both teams had tight games last week and I expect the same this week. The home field advantage will be key for the Wildcats.

These are our picks for this week. No super headliner this week but just be happy that football is back. Let us know what games you will be checking out.
