2012 Week 4: NFL Games of the Week

This week like the weeks before will feature many marquee match-ups.  We hope you enjoy our selections. Please feel free to express your opinion about our choices for games of the week. Oh yeah, welcome back to the real REFEREES you were greatly missed.

San Francisco 49ers @ New York Jets, 1:00pm, ET

Many west coast teams struggle when having to travel to across the country for an early football game on the east coast. Last season Jim Harbaugh made the 49ers stay in Youngstown, Ohio and the trip paid dividends as the 49ers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles last season. The 49ers continued their formula for their east coast success and did the same this season.  The Jets are coming off of a sloppy win against the Miami Dolphins, but in that win All- Pro CB Darrelle Revis tore his ACL.  An angry 49er team coming off of a loss will be hard to beat. I think that the Jets will fall short due to the inept offense going against an elite defense.

New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers, 4:25pm ET

This game will be crucial for both teams. Who would have thought that these two NFL powerhouses are under 500. at this point of the season? Yeah, me neither. I think that the Packers will be too angry due to last week’s mishaps by the replacement referees and come out firing on all cylinders. Look for Cedric Benson to run all over the Saints defense in this Sunday evening showdown.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 ET, Sunday Night Football

Michael Vick and Andy Reid are under immense pressure even though they are 2-1. It feels that the Eagles are 0-3 due to their erratic play on offense.  The Giants are coming off of a great game against the Panthers, but when we all expect the Giants to win and play at their pinnacle they do the total opposite. Since everyone is going for the G Men look for them to have a hiccup in Philly.
