2012 Week 6: College Football games of the Week

Last week every game we picked turned out to be good, we know every week we can’t get as lucky but we wish we could. Things we learned last week is that Tech is in serious trouble, O State keeps moving along under the radar, WVU is doing numbers and Bama is the class of NCAA.

Take a look at the games we picked this week. The schedule gods made it easy on us this week as we have 5 games all with top 25 teams going head to head.

#4 LSU @ #10 Florida, CBS, 3:30 pm– A battle of top 10 schools in the SEC. Something that we have gotten use to over the last 5 years. There are still a lot questions to be answered by both teams but the victor will be able to cross out of a few. Both teams have a strong running game, steady QB play and fast defenses. The Gators have the advantage of “The Swamp” will that be enough?

#5 Georgia @ #6 South Carolina, ESPN, 7 pm- The 2nd top 10 battle in the SEC, will be hosted by the Gamecocks. Georgia has the better offensive because of the experience with Murray under the helm. The Gamecocks will need Lattimore to run wild against that stout Georgia defense. The Gamecocks better block Jarvis Jones if they want their offense to do anything. The Bulldogs better keep tabs on Clowney if they want Murray to stay clean. Toss up game with a slight edge to the Bulldogs but will the home crowd play a factor?

#8 West Virginia @ #11 Texas, FOX, 7 pm– If defense is what you came to see don’t watch this game. West Virginia gave up over 60 points last week and the Longhorns gave up over 30 themselves. Both offenses put up fictional numbers as well as West Virginia scored 70 points and Texas scored over 30 themselves. What kind of numbers will Heisman front runner Geno Smith up on the Longhorns? Texas has the home field advantage but this game will be able which defense can semicontrol the others offense.

#21 Nebraska @ # 12 Ohio St., ABC, 8 pm– This top 25 Big Ten battle will let us know who will gain some control over the conference (*The Buckeyes can’t technically win the conference this year). Martinez has improved a lot as a passer this year and the Buckeyes will look to avenge their defeat to the Huskers last year. Miller has improved a lot since last year also. Which defense will be able to play the better game versus the dual threat QB will be the key. Also throw in the game is at the Horseshoe, I give the slight advantage to the Bucks.

#23 Washington @ #2 Oregon, ESPN, 10:30 pm– Pac 12 has a battle of top 25 teams also. After shocking the world *word to Ed the Sports Fan* Washington gets rewarded with another top 10 team in the Oregon Ducks. This time the game is on the road. Will Price and company be able to do it again? We know the dope uni wearing Ducks will be ready.

These are the games we picked this week. What games will you be watching? Until next week, PEACE!
