2012 Week 5: NFL Games of the Week

This week like the weeks before will feature many marquee match-ups.  We hope you enjoy our selections. Please feel free to express your opinion about our choices for games of the week.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Pittsburgh Steelers, 1:ooPM, ET

The battle of Pennsylvania football supremacy is on for the match-up between the Eagles and Steelers. The Eagles have been winning ugly, but they are 3-1. The Steelers have not been sharp on both sides of the ball, but they may be getting Rashard Mendenhall and James Harrison back in the fold so that will help out Mike Tomlin & Co. This game will be a tough one to call, but I will give the edge to Pittsburgh due to home field and advantage.

San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints, 8:20PM, ET, Sunday Night Football

The Saints are on the brink of facing an 0-5 deficit, and they are in desperate need for  a win. The Chargers will feature Jackie Battle as their new starting tailback, due to Ryan Mathews diagnosis of fumblitis. Anyone running against the Saints defense is poised for a big day, that may not be enough to get them over the top.  I think Drew Brees will go into full cook mode lead the Saints in a shootout against his former team.

Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots , 4:25PM  ET

The battle of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady continues once again. This game will have a different feel due to Peyton playing for Denver, but the magnitude of the game is still the same. Both teams are 2-2, and are both coming off of impressive wins in the previous week. Brady and the Pats may have found a new formula for success with their new found running game. Peyton will continue to build a good rapport with his weapons, but he and the Broncos will fall short in Foxboro.
