Kansas State keeps passing tests

At the beginning of the year not many people had Kansas State on their radar in the national title picture but after 8 weeks in the books everybody has to take notice. The Wildcats have had solid teams in the past but never been a serious threat in the title hunt.

The Big XII has been a conference lately that has been known for their high powered offenses and suspect defenses but the Wildcats are of a different mode. When jumping in the title hunt they knocked off Oklahoma and West Virginia keeping them at 19 and 14 points respectively. On offense they control the game with grind out style led but QB Collin Klein and his back field mate John Hubert. The grind out style keeps the clock moving which in turn doesn’t give the other teams as many chances to get the ball and with their defense it turns into the other teams worse enemy.

The best thing about both victories is that they were won on the road.  Tough road victories build confidence and for these Wildcats could eventually turn into a shot at the title.

The Wildcats have 5 more games in Big XII play and if they make the conference title game that would make 6 games left. On their schedule currently two teams are ranked (#14 Texas Tech and #23 Texas) left we know this could change weekly but if they keep passing the tests that are handed out the Wildcats may sneak into the national title game.
