Last night NBA TV aired a dope documentary on Julius Erving a.k.a. Dr. J. Many people forget the NBA Legends that came before the stars today. People today talk about Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan, but without Dr. J’s impact in the ABA and NBA those players would not have a model to follow on the hardwood.
It is cool to see the NBA pay homage to one of the forgotten greats. Whether you call him Dr. J or Julius Erving the impact on the court was the same.
Erving’s style of play was ahead of his time, and was a true pioneer for the high-flying style of play.
