The wait is over for Tim Tebow. Tebow who was released from the New York Jets looked as if his NFL career was coming to an end. Tebow waited patiently, and was signed by the New England Patriots(Tebow will wear No.5).
Tebow will bring a lot of attention to the Pats, but head coach Bill Belichick is the perfect coach to monitor Tebow and his cult like following.
Reports state that Tebow was signed to a two-year deal with no guarnteed money. Tebow will be playing Quarterback and there is not any speculation that he will line up elsewhere.
Tebow will get the opportunity to work with the Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Tom Brady, and Bill Belichick.
McDaniels was the coach in Denver who got criticized for drafting Tebow in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. McDaniels who is known to be an arrogant coach will attempt to prove that he can fix Tebow’s quarterback mechanics.
If Tim Tebow makes the team he probably won’t see the field, but he will learn a lot from Tom Brady & Co. Tebow needs to soak up all of the knowledge he can get from being in a system like the Patriots.
There is always some method to Belichick’s madness. The attention will be unwanted, but in the back of Belichick’s mind he will find some use for Tebow.
Whether it is preaching the gospel to Rob Gronkowski or grooming him for a possible future trade Belichick has something up his sleeve with the acquisition of Tim Tebow.
