The Browns gon’ be the Browns

Trent_RichardsonAt the beginning of preseason I was talking to my homies (shoutout CG) and Robin and Don stated, “No decision is too dumb for the Browns.” This convo happens every off season just trying to gauge the hope meter for Browns fans. Every season the same convo seems to happen no matter who gets signed or drafted.

“No Decision is too dumb for the Browns” yes soo true, today happened and that was the first thing that popped into my head. The Browns after an 0-2 start trade their best player to the Colts for their 2014 1st round pick. For a team with not many stars why would you trade your brightest light? If you have the we will just tank it for Bridgewater theory, ummm you are the Browns you don’t need a trade to tank you do it every year. The other reason this trade makes Browns fans want to drink, you remember during the draft they pimped themselves to the Vikings to move up one pick to take Trent? Yeah that was just in 2012, they lost those picks for nothing by making this trade. The Browns gave up the 4th, 5th and 7th round picks of that year to move up one place and a year later they trade him. Molly kills people.

The Browns have been rebuilding before I hit puberty, every year they do something that makes you scratch your head. They better make the right moves in the 2014 NFL Draft or this will become bad to terrible within months. Nobody that roots for the Browns expects the best because at the end of the day the Browns gon’ be the Browns.

  1. I like this trade. The Browns need a QB. And clearly Brandon Weeden is not the answer. My personal opinion is that he didn’t get a fair shake because of impatience. The Browns will do what my Bengals did and draft a pair of offensive stars next year to begin again. They’ve not taken that approach before so I feel that’s where they have to go for this trade to work. A little pain for some pleasure.

    1. Man this is stupid just on the way they acquired him, they lost 3 picks to move up one spot then trade him. The Browns were going to tank without him.. they didn’t need to trade him to do that. If I’m a top flight QB(Bridgewater, Boyd, Carr) I’m telling my agent I want non parts of that dumb franchise. And they are the Browns when do they hit on picks?
