Terrelle Pryor Lands in Seattle

Terrelle Pryor was the last selection made by the legendary Al Davis. Pryor, who sat for two seasons received an opportunity to play this past season as a starting quarterback for the incumbent Oakland Raiders. Pryor started nine games and finished the season with 1798 passing yards , 7 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and 576 rushing yards. I honestly thought that Pryor shown flashes of being a starting QB despite having a shaky offensive line, and so-so skill players.

I think he deserved another look as a starting QB. The Raiders brought in Matt Schaub, and he is a pick six waiting to happen. Unless the Raiders draft Johnny Manziel or Teddy Bridgewater I think the move has zero logic. The Terrelle Pryor stint was a failure in Oakland, but the football Gods blessed him and sent him to the reigning Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks.

Pryor will have a chance to be a back up QB to Russell Wilson, and I am pretty sure that Pete Carroll will find an innovative way to use his skill set. Pryor may not play much this upcoming season, but he is a pretty good insurance policy if Wilson goes down to injury.

The Seahawks roster is filled with players that teams wanted no part of. With addition of Pryor it adds another cast off to their deep roster. Pryor may be holding a clip board, but to be apart of a championship organization is substantial. The back up quarterback is one of the most important positions in the NFL, and I am sure that Pryor will be ready when and if he is called upon.

Pryor is now free from Siberia, and is able to enjoy the feeling of winning in the NFL.
