Fultz drafted to the 76ers, Ball drafted by the Lakers and Butler traded to T’Wolves

After the 20th of June went crazy in the NBA, the day of the NBA Draft was just as crazy. Would Paul George or Jimmy Butler be dealt? Would the 76ers draft Markelle Fultz, would the Lakers draft Lonzo Ball?

During the draft Fultz and Ball went one and two just like everyone predicted, but after that everything got interesting and the main situation that caught everyone for a loop was the Chicago Bulls trading star wingman Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. I’m going to be the first and I know I won’t be the last to say the Bulls got worked like “a chick at the Bodytap” (I always wanted to use that Young Jeezy line), but it is super relevant in this situation.

Trade Breakdown:

Bulls get:

Guard Kris Dunn
Guard Zach LaVine
Forward Lauri Markkanen (7th Pick)

Timberwolves get:

Guard/Forward Jimmy Butler
Forward Justin Patton (16th Pick)

My question is this how do you trade the proven all-star and all-NBA player and still swap a pick? Do better Chicago management do better.

Shoutout to Lavar Ball for laying the blueprint down that got his son in LA. Now we know Ball has talent, but normally when you have something saying it is going to happen before it happens it Jedi mind tricks the team into not doing what makes the most since. Big Baller Brand in LA, more Lavar interviews on deck.
