Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia went head to head for the vacant WBC belt. This fight was everything expected and more as they went all 12 rounds. Porter was the more active fighter and outworked Garcia getting a unamious decision claiming the title (Both fighters were in my Top 5). Garcia fought a solid fight, but wasn’t active enough and that is what Porter was able to take advantage of.
During the post fight Errol Spence came into the ring and challenged Porter. With both fighters having the same promoter it seems like this might be an easy fight to make for early 2019.
