Three reasons we don’t want a Golovkin/Alvarez trilogy

Everybody that thought boxing would die once Floyd Mayweather “retired” hopefully watched both Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin and Saul Canelo Alvarez fights. Both fights were instant classics even if you didn’t agree with the outcome.

The fight September 15, 2018 was just as controversial as the fight September 16, 2017. The second fight had a lot of build up being that most thought GGG won the first fight and Canelo got caught on the juice so the original date in May 2018 got pushed back because he had dirty pee twice. The first fight ended in a draw and the second fight ended in a unanimous decision for Canelo. A lot of people are calling for a trilogy, but I don’t know if that would be wise to do.
