Jerome Ford gets selected 156th overall in the NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns

The final day of the NFL Draft has kicked off and has been filled with a couple of Bearcats early on. Earlier in the 4th round, Coby Bryant was selected by the Seattle Seahawks. His former teammate on the other side of the ball was taken in Jerome Ford. The former Alabama transfer who took Cincinnati’s offense to another level the last two years. Ford was selected 156th overall by the Browns and will join a very talented RB room in Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt and D’Ernest Johnson.

Named to the 2021 All-AAC First Team and collected AAC Championship Game MVP honors. Ford led the 13-0 Bearcats with 1,242 yards rushing, 19 rushing touchdowns, and 20 total touchdowns averaging 6.2 yards per carry. His 19 rushing touchdowns ranked sixth nationally while his 20 total touchdowns ranked third, both touchdown marks tied the school records. Averaged 103.58 rushing yards per game, good for 18th nationally. Ford was a key playmaker in the Bearcats offense whether it was in the passing game or the run game Ford made sure everyone knew he was there.
