This afternoon, Wes Miller and the Bearcats landed their second player via transfer portal, as C.J Fredrick announced his pledge to the Bearcats. Frederick, now joins Jamille Reynolds as the Bearcats newest additions via the transfer portal.

Fredrick, a 6’3” shooting guard from Cincinnati, started his playing career at Iowa where he played his first two seasons of collegiate basketball where he shot 47% from behind the arch during his two year stint with the Hawkeyes in the 2019-2020, and 2020-21 seasons.

Fredrick, then transferred to Kentucky the last two seasons, but has overcome injuries which limited him to just 27 games in the 2022-2023 season after missing all of 2021-2022. Fredrick averaged 6.1 points per game, 0.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists per game in 2022-2023.
