3 plays that hurt the Bearcats in their 32-29 loss to Baylor

Braden Smith’s kickoff fumble that was returned for a touchdown

Right after Baylor took a 10-7 lead, Braden Smith fumbled the kickoff and it bounced into Byron Vaughns for a touchdown. The fumble flew to Vaughns like it was a toss sweep, the young man scored and pushed the lead to 17-7. This was huge for momentum, because Baylor scored 14 points within 10 seconds of gameplay. It was the second time this season that Smith has had a major blunder during special teams.

A team struggling to find their footing can’t have plays like this and this play was a buckshot to the stomach for a team trying to get back on the winning side of things.
