3 plays that hurt the Bearcats in their 32-29 loss to Baylor

Failed 4th and 3 in the third quarter

Early in the third quarter the Bearcats were down 12 (26-14) and they had the ball inside the red zone (15 yard line). It was 4th and 3, Jones pass to Payton Singletary was broken up and the Bearcats turned the ball over on downs. Brown could’ve trotted out there to attempt a 32 yard field goal to cut the lead down to 9 points with over nine minutes left in the quarter. It would loom large because this was the second time in the game the Bearcats turned down an attempt at easy field goal to be aggressive and crashed out.

If the Bearcats would’ve taken the two field goal attempts they would’ve in turn won by 3 points besides losing by 3.

My summary for these three mistakes is they have to take the points when it makes sense, both times their was a lot of game to play and any positive add on would’ve helped the Bearcats have a better chance at breaking their losing streak.

With Oklahoma State coming up Saturday, they have to learn from their mistakes and push forward it will be a tough road environment, but their is no time like the present to right the ship.
