Cincinnati Spring Game Takeaways

Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats have officially wrapped up their Spring camp following their annual spring game on Saturday.

Now, as the Bearcats prepare to build and learn as a team following the 2023 season where the Bearcats finished just 3-9 in their first season under Scott Satterfield, however, things looked to be treading in the right direction as fans had the opportunity to check out the 2024 squad for the first time on Saturday.

The Spring Game comes after a fantastic week at the University of Cincinnati following the New Heights Live show on Thursday. Cincinnati also had their annual golf outing on Friday, followed by their annual captain’s breakfast on Saturday.

“I want to give a shoutout to all of our fans for showing up today. I thought that was a great atmosphere for a spring game. This week has been very special for all of us starting on Thursday when the Kelce Brothers came back and met with our team. Jason met with the O-Line, and Travis met with the TEs. All of us were able to go and see their podcast on Thursday. The golf outing we had Friday, despite the bad weather, we had nearly 200 former players in attendance,” said Satterfield.

It is also worth noting that many former Bearcats were in attendance featuring the likes of Jason Kelce, Sauce Gardner, Trent Cole, Jowon Briggs, Marquis Copeland, Antwan Peek, Connor Barwin, Alec Peirce and many more.

“We had a lot of NFL players back on campus this week and in attendance this afternoon for the spring game,” Satterfield told reporters following the game. “That just shows you the rich history this program has. It is a special place here.”
