Three Tulsa Players Put on Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Watch List

I keep finding positive information to post about Tulsa, which is good for the AAC as a whole right? The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Preseason Watch List was released yesterday and Tulsa has three players on the list. Those three players are receivers Keyarris Garrett and Keevan Lucas and quarterback Dane Evans.

More information about the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose award is in the paragraphs below.

Per BCSNN’s own C. Austin Cox:

“The third annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is presented to the nation’s outstanding Division I college offensive player who meets one or more of the following criteria: 1. Born in Texas; 2. Graduated from a Texas high school; or 3. Played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.

The player must also exhibit the enduring characteristics that define Heisman Trophy winner and five time NFL All-Pro Earl Campbell, including integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, community, and tenacity – Specifically tenacity to persist, drive, determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.

The Watch List will be narrowed up to 16 semifinalists in November and then up to five finalists in December, with the selections coming from broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans, and the previous winners. The finalists will then be brought to Tyler for The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Awards Banquet scheduled for January 13, 2016.”

Good luck to the guys at Tulsa who are on this list maybe if they put up good numbers one of them will have a chance to add this award to their personal trophy room.
